A national search to fill a new position in the College of Letters & Science (L&S), the largest college at UW-Madison, has concluded with an offer to a highly-respected internal candidate, whose work advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education has earned him accolades on UW’s campus and beyond.

DeVon Wilson, Director of the L&S Center for Academic Excellence, is the subject of an excellent profile in Beloit College’s magazine. Wilson is a ’90 graduate of Beloit College, and the article lauds his work helping underrepresented, first-generation, low-income UW-Madison students navigate their time here, including the many challenges posed by COVID-19.
