For decades, archeology professor Mark Kenoyer has practiced and studied technologies of ancient cultures. It is an experience he has sought to bestow on students enrolled in the ancient technology and invention classes he has taught each summer since 1988.

Each summer, the Student Orientation, Advising and Registration, or SOAR, program welcomes new students to campus and gives them a sneak peek into life at UW-Madison. We caught up with a few incoming Letters & Sciences students to ask them about what they’re planning for fall.
