Professor of Zoology Carol Lee is one of four University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty members to receive a Fulbright Scholar Award to lecture and/or conduct research abroad during the 2014-15 academic year.
Lee will travel to Taiwan from December to May for research on a project called "Evolution in Response to Novel Pathogens During Biological Invasions."
The four UW-Madison recipients, from across campus, are among approximately 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad in 2014-15 through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, which is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, a division of the Institute of International Education.
The Fulbright Program, the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, is designed to increase mutual understanding among people of the United States and other countries. The program currently operates in more than 155 countries.
