The Department of Zoology would like to recognize several achievements:
- Zoology chair, Jeff Hardin, was awarded a Kellett Mid-career Faculty Researcher Award.
- Professor Jake Vander Zanden recently published three articles in "Environmental Management" on improving Wisconsin's water quality by identifying the areas where conservation efforts are most likely to yield improvements and his ranking system that identifies the areas of highest priority. - Graduate students Jason Harmon, Nancy A. Moran, and professor, Tony Ives’ recent study was featured in the journal Science. The study focused on how evolution and ecosystems may buffer some species against climate change. For more information.
