Zanni was selected for his seminal contribution to the field of ultrafast spectroscopy. Gregory D. Scholes (University of Toronto) is sharing the $50,000 award with Zanni.
The award will be presented to the recipients May 16, 2011 during the Tel Aviv Symposium in Chemical Physics honoring the distinguished laureates and the Annual Session of the Tel Aviv University’s Board of Governors.
It has been a year full of awards and recognition for Zanni who received the 2009 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. Government to young scientists.
He also received the American Chemical Society Nobel Laureate Signature Award, the Research Initiatives Award from the National Academy of Sciences, and he became a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
