Dan Walters, a student in the Ph.D program in Political Science while pursuing a Juris Doctorate in the UW Law School, was recently named the winner of the 2009 Richard D. Cudahy Writing Competition on Regulatory and Administrative Law.
Walters was the only receipient in the student category.
The award is based on Judge Richard Cudahy's work in areas that combine legal doctrine, insight into the institutional forces that determine how doctrine is implemented and an appreciation of the public impact of doctrinal and institutional choices. This competition seeks to encourage and reward these qualities in the scholarship of others.
The competition is sponsored by the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.
