UW Zoology professor and limnologist Jake Vander Zanden was recently featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel"15,000 reasons to worry about the Great Lakes."

Vander Zanden weighed in on the increasing threat of zebra mussels and the problems they pose for Wisconsin waterways.
"The Great Lakes are just a beachhead for invasions that are going to play out in lakes across the country in the next century," Vander Zanden told the paper. "It's just the start."
