Computer sciences professor Shuchi Chawla and physics professor Karsten M. Heeger have been selected as Kavli Frontiers of Science fellows, and recently participated in the Kavli Foundation's Frontiers of Science symposium.
Sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences and the Kavli Foundation, the symposium - held Nov. 2-4 in Irvine, Calif. - brought together outstanding young scientists to discuss exciting advances and opportunities in a broad range of disciplines.
