Strier honored with the 2010 Distinguished Primatologist Award

Karen B. Strier, Hilldale Professor & Irven DeVore Professor of Anthropology, has been awarded the Distinguished Primatologist Award for 2010 from the American Society of Primatologists.

This is the most important award conferred by the society.

It is given in honor of her significant contributions to the field, and is indicative of the high esteem in which she is held by her colleagues.

The award is commemorated with a plaque, presented at the 2011 meeting of the American Society of Primatologists where she is invited to give the Distinguished Primatologist address.
