Sall
John Sall, the co-founder and executive vice president of analytics software giant SAS, will deliver a public lecture on big data and statistics Dec. 3 on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
The UW-Madison Department of Statistics is sponsoring Sall's visit. His lecture will begin at 4 p.m. in the Discovery Building's H.F. DeLuca Forum, with appetizers served at 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Sall, who was elected a fellow of the American Statistical Association in 1998, co-founded SAS in 1976 and has helped build the Cary, N.C.-based company into a worldwide leader in business analytics software. He created the JMP computer program, statistical discovery software designed for scientists and engineers, and continues to lead its development.
