The Lubar Institute for the Study of the Abrahamic Religions (LISAR) will host its fifth annual conference, “Are There Limits to Our Dialogue? Interfaith Marriage and Conversion,” on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
This free, public conference, which is targeted at clergy and laity equally, will review Jewish, Christian, and Islamic doctrines pertaining to interfaith marriage and conversion before exploring how these views both affect the lives of individuals and challenge the possibility of sustaining authentic interfaith conversations.

The conference officially begins on the evening of Monday, April 12 at 7:30, when Father John Pawlikowski, O.S.M., delivers his plenary lecture, “Mission and Dialogue: Can They Be Reconciled?” in the VandeBurg Auditorium of The Pyle Center.
Father Pawlikowski is Director of the Catholic-Jewish Studies Program of the Catholic Theological Seminary in Chicago.
