University of Warsaw Crest
The program was recently honored with a Distinction from the Department of Polish as a Second Language (POLONICUM) at the University of Warsaw.
This prestigious distinction honors the Polish Program’s achievements in teaching and research in Polish literature and in language acquisition.
The competition for this award was intense and global, but the UW–Madison program received the Distinction in a unanimous, confidential vote.
Participants in the Polish Program are invited to attend an official ceremony in November, 2011.
Faculty and students of the Department of Slavic Languages and Literature are also invited to collaborate with their colleagues at the University of Warsaw in the future.
