The Physics Department is hosting the international conference "Neutrinos and Dark Matter 2009" (NDM09) on August 31-September 4, 2009 at the beautiful Monona Terrace in Madison.
This is the third conference in this series - the previous two were held at Osaka, Japan and Paris, France.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is a world leader in the area of neutrino physics and astrophysics. Co-Chairs of the conference are A.B. Balantekin and Karsten Heeger of the Physics Department.
The third meeting covers current topics of low-energy and underground neutrino physics, direct and indirect dark matter experiments, and high-energy neutrino astrophysics. The conference will review the state of the field and provide an informal venue to discuss new ideas and approaches in neutrino and astrophysics.
