Shafer-Landau
The UW-Madison Department of Philosophy will host the next installment of its "UW Philosophers Tackle Contemporary Issues" lecture series on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in Grainger Hall.
Department Chair Russ Shafer-Landau will give a talk entitled, "On Marriage Equality," in defense of the legal recognition of same-sex marriage. He'll offer an argument from equality on behalf of such recognition, and then present and critique five arguments that oppose legalizing same-sex marriage.
The talk, which will take place in 1100 Grainger, is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a question and answer session.
