The School of Journalism and Mass Communication's Public Relations Strategies class 'hot dogged' it up when J-School alum ('11)  and current Oscar Mayer HotDogger Caileigh Robertson visited the class on March 15th.  The students learned about the "nuts and bolts" of media relations and spokesperson training with Caileigh, then "spiced it up" with pictures in front of the mini Oscar Mayer Weinermobile after class.  Hot diggity dog!

This course, taught by Debra Pierce, explores public relations strategic management and planning as part of an integrated strategic communications plan. Students learn and explore a variety of PR programs in the class, which includes: organizational PR (crisis communications, financial relations, reputation management, communication and government relations), media (media relations, spokesperson training), digital PR, and word-of-mouth/viral marketing.
