Olds delivers talk on emerging global higher education landscape

Professor Kris Olds (Geography) was invited to speak about his research to 80-100 university presidents, provosts and deans at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) in Dallas in November.

His talk, titled 'Mapping the Emerging Global Higher Education Landscape,' examined key dimensions of the emerging global higher education landscape which, taken together, point to the 'denationalization' and 'desectoralization' of higher education.

In such a context Olds pushed APLU leaders to consider what role their individual universities, and the APLU more generally, should play in understanding, reacting to, and shaping, this emerging landscape.
