Professor Lynn Nyhart will serve on Executive Committee of the History of Science Society.
Professor Lynn Nyhart of the Department of the History of Science has been elected to the Executive Committee of the History of Science Society.
Nyhart will serve as Vice President for 2010 and 2011, and then President for 2012 and 2013.
The History of Science Society is the main English-language-based professional society for historians of science.
UW History of Science Professors have a strong and distinguished tradition of being elected the society president. Most recent presidents include, Ron Numbers (2000-2001) and before that, Dave Lindberg (1994-95).
