Morales' research article "Healthy Food Outside: Herein of Farmer’s Markets, Taco Trucks, and Sidewalk Fruit Vendors," [pdf] provides arguments on behalf of street food, that work was discussed on the Land Use Professors Law blog, November 18, 2010.
He also recently published “Planning and the Self-Organization of Marketplaces” in the December 2010 issue of the Journal of Planning Education and Research.
Morales is also the project co-director of a five-year $4.9 million grant from USDA Agriculture and Food Research Initiative. The grant - "Evaluating Innovation and Promoting Success in Community and Regional Food Systems" - is led by Principle Investigator is Professor Steve Ventura (Soils Science).
