KlezKamp returns to UW July 22

"A Biselle KlezKamp" is free and open to the public.

For the second straight summer, KlezKamp is coming to the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

The Mayrent Institute for Yiddish Culture will hold "A Biselle KlezKamp," a free one-day event on July 22. The event is organized by Henry Sapoznik, the director of the Mayrent Institute and the founder of "KlezKamp: The Yiddish Folk Arts Program," an annual event in New York's Catskill mountains.

National and local experts will lead lectures and workshops on Yiddish music, dance, language, arts and culture. The event, which begins at 9 a.m. at the Pyle Center, will conclude with a concert and dance at 7 p.m. in Memorial Union's Great Hall. Dance workshops will also be held in the Great Hall, while the rest of the classes and registration will be at the Pyle Center.
