Students in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication covered the November elections in a real time reporting situation on their Election 2010 Web site, offering pre and post election coverage in Wisconsin.
Students provided issue pieces and background on the candidates five days before the election, and spent election night updating the voting totals throughout the state, as well as across the nation well after the polls closed.
The site includes state and national poll numbers, video, audio and graphic information.
The students are in Faculty Associate Pat Hastings’ Intermediate Reporting class, and spend much of the semester reporting on community issues.
