Congratulations to Professor Janet Hyde, who was honored with an APA Presidential Citation at the most recent meeting of the American Psychological Association.
Hyde received the honor for her research culminating in the Gender Similarities Hypothesis.
Hyde's research interest includes the psychology of women, human sexuality, and gender development.
One current project concerns the emergence of gender differences in depression in adolescence, using data from The Wisconsin Study of Families and Work.
Another project, funded by the National Science Foundation, focuses on the available data on gender differences and similarities in mathematical performance.
