Faculty Associate Pat Hastings of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication is the new president of the Wisconsin Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
The announcement was made during the Broadcast Journalism Excellence Awards in Waukesha.
Hastings will serve a two-year term.
The Associated Press is the world's oldest and largest news-gathering organization.
The cooperative of newspapers, radio stations and television stations provides text, audio, graphics, video, photos and technology to news outlets worldwide.
