The Institute for Research in the Humanities has announced its Resident Fellows and Race, Ethnicity, and Indigeneity Fellows for 2014-2015.
The Resident Fellows are:
- Severino Albuquerque (Spanish and Portuguese)
- Shelly Chan (History)
- Alexander Dressler (Classics)
- Victor Goldgel-Carballo (Spanish and Portuguese)
- Aida Levy-Hussen (English)
- Sarah Thal (History)
The Race, Ethnicity, and Indigeneity Fellows are:
- Ian Baird (Geography)
- Benjamin Marquez (Political Science)
The IRH holds an annual competition for up to six Resident Fellowships for UW-Madison faculty working on a project of significance for the humanities. Resident Fellows participate in the interdisciplinary life of the institute and undertake full-time research for one semester.
The IRH also holds an annual competition for up to two Race, Ethnicity, and Indigeneity Fellowships for UW-Madison faculty for one-semester research grants. Projects must focus directly on race, ethnicity, and/or indigeneity, foster comparative study of these issues, and have clear significance for the humanities.
