We are pleased to announce the startup of a new campus project to help foster transdisciplinary research collaboration:

Systems for the Transdisciplinary Advancement of Research (STAR).

STAR is intended to help faculty & research staff:

  • expand research networks across and beyond campus,
  • deepen leadership and management skills, and
  • enhance abilities to work across contrasting research paradigms.

STAR’s first programs are beginning soon.  Enrollment is free for UW-Madison employees.

Foundations: The Science Behind Leadership & Management [pdf]

  • 14 weeks of small group meetings on Tuesdays or Thursdays, 7:30-9:00am

Collaboration Incubator: Water Research [pdf]

  • If you do research on water (from any disciplinary perspective), we invite you to get involved in the formation of a cross-campus water research working group.
