Professor Jost Hermand will receive the University Housing's Honored Instructors Award.
The Department of German is pleased to announce that Emeritus Vilas Professor Jost Hermand, who taught a first-year lecture course on "Nazi Culture" in Spring 2009 (GER 272), was chosen for the University Housing's Honored Instructors Award.
This award recognizes Hermand's "invaluable contribution to student learning".
Hermand joined the UW faculty in 1957, retired in 2004, and has lectured occasionally since then for undergraduate students.
