GIS Day is an international day of education about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geography. Thousands of organizations around the world will hold local events such as open houses, hands-on workshops, community expos, school assemblies, and more!
The Expo is free and open to the public. Drop in anytime to explore the map gallery and exhibitor booths, or see the speaker schedule to catch a particular presentation.
Attendees can learn about GIS resources and training opportunities on campus, as well as information about careers in the fast-growing and evolving field of geospatial technology.
Keynote address will be given by UW-Madison Emeritus Professor of Landscape Architecture, Phil Lewis, author of Tomorrow By Design. A visionary and true champion of regional design, Dr. Lewis is recognized as the 'Father of the Environmental Corridor'. He designed the Dane County E-Way in 1970.
