The Deptartment of German is proud to host two post-doc research fellows funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Bonn.

The Feodor Lynen Fellows are:

  • Dr. Henning Wrage (Ph.D., Humboldt University, Berlin), working on a media history of postwar Germany under the mentorship of Professor Marc Silberman.
  • Dr. Rüdiger Singer (Ph.D., University of Göttingen), working on representations of actors in German Texts under the mentorship of Professor Sabine Gross.

Both post-docs were attracted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison because of the excellent research library collections, strong collegial support in their fields and the UW’s reputation in European Studies.
