Gender & Women’s Studies welcomes two new faculty members

The Department of Gender and Women’s Studies is excited to welcome two new colleagues, Assistant Professor Keisha Lindsay and Assistant Professor Eunjung Kim.

Lindsay’s research and teaching interests include black feminist theory, black masculinities, and the gendered politics of popular culture, as well as the racial and gendered implications of designating children as a protected class under the law and homoerotic politics in black popular music.

She has a joint appointment in Political Science and is part of the African Diaspora and Atlantic World Cluster

This fall Lindsay is teaching "Contemporary Feminist Theories" and "African American Political Theory" this fall.

Kim’s research focuses on the intersections of asexuality and disability; the cultural history of disabled women in Korea; and South Korean migrant women’s experiences in sexual entertainment commerce in the US.

She has a joint appointment in Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education and is a part of the Disability Studies Cluster.

This fall she is teaching "Gender and Disability in Film" and "Women’s International Human Rights."
