The European Union Center for Excellence (EUCE) welcomed Geir Lundestad, Director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, to campus in March as the 2008-2009 Marshall-Monnet Scholar in Residence. A Professor of International History and author of several publications on trans-atlantic history, Lundestad spoke on the “Past and Future of US-European Relations” to a packed audience at the Pyle Center on March 10.
The lecture brought together several campus and community constituencies, with faculty, undergraduates, Madison East High School history students, business members and members of the Dane County Norwegian community.
