On May 1, we broke ground for the new 81,000-square-foot expansion of the Chazen Museum of Art. This $43 million expansion was made possible by a $25 million lead gift from Simona and Jerry Chazen, as well as generous gifts from many private donors. The expansion will nearly double gallery space for the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. The museum is expected to open in the fall of 2011.
