Communication Arts professor receives $450k to study deliberation

Communication Arts Professor Robert Asen has been awarded a $450,000 grant from the William T. Grant Foundation to study school-board deliberations and decision making.

This study will track school boards in suburban Milwaukee and Beloit over a two-year period.

On this project, Asen will be working with Dr. Deb Gurke, a UW alum in Educational Policy, and a governance officer at the Wisconsin Association of School Boards.
