The Center for Journalism Ethics is hosting its annual conference Friday, April 13 focusing on a theme of "Ethics & Elections: Media, Money & Power in 2012."
The annual conference, now in its fourth year, brings together professionals from various communication backgrounds. This year's event will be free and will be held at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
The 2012 conference will consist of three main sessions:"Fact-Checking in an Election Year," "Political Advertising: Going Negative," and "The Truths We Tell: Reporting from Foreign Fields."
There will also be breakout workshop session and a keynote lunch featuring speaker Tom Rosenstiel, Director of the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism.

The Center for Journalism Ethics is housed within the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and its goal is to "to advance the ethical standards and practices of democratic journalism through discussion, research, teaching, professional outreach, and newsroom partnerships."
