Even on a campus full of historic buildings, towering Science Hall stands out.
This year, the venerable building is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
The Department of Geography, which is housed in Science Hall, is hosting a celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 4-9 p.m. that will look back at the building's past and ahead to its future.

- Guided tours from Department of Geography staff members (4 p.m.)
- The history of Science Hall, from UW-Madison archivist David Null (5 p.m.)
- A reception in the Arthur Robinson Map Library (5:30 p.m.)
- A discussion on how to move old buildings into the future — renovating for sustainability and modern needs and expectations while being sensitive to historic preservation (7 p.m.)
- A tour of some of the hidden and quirky parts of "haunted Science Hall" (8 p.m.)
