The Cartography Lab, housed in the Geography Department, has been collaborating with the UW-Madison Arboretum to create an interactive map that allows users to participate from anywhere in the world.
Meet the recently launched online Arboretum Interactive Map.
Arboretum enthusiasts can visit virtually to reminisce about the place, plan a trip, learn about current and past research, as well as ways to help protect the Arboretum.
The map is so much more than a wayfinding tool, it will educate and hopefully, inspire.
Anyone can add photos and notes about the Arboretum to the map. It also provides an outlet for Arboretum staff and researchers to communicate with the public about current projects, and seasonal phenomena.
