The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Institute for Research on Poverty will host an event for undergraduates interested in learning about poverty-related careers on October 4.
The panel, "Careers in Poverty Research, Policy, and Practice," will run from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Pyle Center, and will also be available online as a webinar. No registration for participation is needed.
The panel will feature five distinguished presenters: Eloise Anderson, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families; Laura Dresser, Research Director, Center on Wisconsin Strategy, UW–Madison; James Nitz, Executive Vice President, Kaiser Group, Inc.; David Pate, Assistant Professor, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, UW-Milwaukee; and Steven J. Schooler, Executive Director, Porchlight, Madison.
Maria Cancian, Associate Dean for Social Sciences in UW-Madison's College of Letters & Science, will moderate the discussion.
