Dr. Diane M. Bless, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Communicative Disorders, will be awarded the Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award this November.
The award will be presented to Bless at the annual meeting of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) in New Orleans, November 19-21, 2009.
The Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award honors an individual's exemplary contributions to clinical science and practice over a period of no less than 20 years.
Bless, who currently works in the UW-Madison Department of Surgery, heads the Voice Section of the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The Voice Section specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients with voice, resonance and airway disorders.
