"Stieg Larsson, Apostle of Free Love" Tuesday, April 5th at 7pm in Room 104 Van Hise.

On Tuesday, April 5 at 7pm the Scandinavian Studies Department will host John-Henri Holmberg, a personal friend of Stieg Larsson, author of the acclaimed Millennium Trilogy featuring the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo".

Holmberg will give a talk "Stieg Larsson, Apostle of Free Love" in Room 104 Van Hise. Following the talk, there will be a reception and a chance to meet the speaker.

Holmberg has written books on psychological thrillers, science fiction and fantasy.  He met Larsson at a convention in Stockholm in 1972.

Holmberg's recent production includes a 26-page essay called "Stieg Larsson: The Unswedish Author" which is now published in the companion volume "Afterword" in the boxed set of the Millennium Trilogy.

The talk is being hosted by The Swedish Institute, the Center for European Studies and the Scandinavian Studies Department.
