On March 28-29, 2023, UW-Madison held its fourth Day of the Badger campaign to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our alumni, students, faculty and staff and to raise critical financial support for the university. The College of Letters & Science once again led all campus units by raising more than $610,000 from more than 2,200 donors during the campaign, each milestone a new record for the college.

The Letters & Science Annual Fund raised more than $41,000 during this year’s campaign, driven by a generous $10,000 matching gift from alumna and L&S Board of Visitors member, Nancy Obin Sukenik. Sukenik’s gift helped inspire 134 gifts to the college. L&S alumni and friends offered 20 matching gift opportunities for college units during this year’s campaign, helping to generate more than $200,000 in additional funds.

Started in 2019, Day of the Badger unites Badgers in an effort to advance the mission of the university by bringing awareness to its achievements and raising critical funds to help the UW remain a world-class educational institution.
