Prashant P. Sharma
, an Associate Professor of Integrative Biology, completed his Bachelor’s degree at Harvard University in 2006, and his Ph.D. at Harvard University in 2012. He then trained as a postdoctoral fellow for three years with the American Museum of Natural History in New York City before joining the UW faculty in 2015. Prashant’s lab investigates the evolution and development of invertebrate animals. His team seeks to understand how ancient groups of animals are related to each other, and how changes in genes and genomes establish the blueprints for biodiversity.
