Bruce Hornsby 900X596

Bruce Hornsby’s work displays a creative iconoclasm that’s been a constant in the artist’s two-and-a-half decade recording career. His commercial stock soared early on, when “The Way It Is” – the title track of his 1986 debut album – became one of the most popular songs on American radio.

Located in the Memorial Union right next to the Terrace, the Wisconsin Union Theater has been a center for performances and cultural activity since 1939. Throughout its history, students and guests have seen and heard some of the world’s most iconic figures, including Ella Fitzgerald, Eleanor Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Louis Armstrong.

On October 18, 2018, we welcome you to be part of the ongoing tradition of bringing world-class performances to the UW-Madison campus. Come early to catch the sunset over Lake Mendota, then enjoy a show headlined by Bruce Hornsby, supported by Phil Cook.
