Remembering Professor Emeritus David Bordwell
The Communication Arts community has lost one of its truly stellar figures. David Bordwell, the Jacques Ledoux Professor Emeritus of Film Studies at UW–Madison, died on February 29, 2024 at the age of 76 after a lengthy illness.
25th Annual Evening of Storytelling

In Memoriam: Jack McLeod, 1930–2024
Jack McLeod, Maier-Bascom Professor Emeritus and a leader in political communication research, died January 28, 2024, at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. He was 93. Jack leaves a legacy of inspiring teaching, thoughtful mentorship and field-leading research after his 38-year career in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
