NSF awards $6.7m to Center for Limnology

The National Science Foundation awarded a $6.7 million grant to The Center for Limnology and primary investigator Steve Carpenter to continue its North Temperate Lakes Long-Term Ecological Research program (NTL-LTER).

Among the co-PIs are Emily Stanley and Tim Kratz (Center for Limnology), Monica Turner (Zoology) and Bill Provencher (Agricultural & Applied Economics). Since its start in 1981, NTL-LTER has conducted a regional, long-term comparative study of two lake-rich regions: the Northern Highland Lake District and the Yahara Lake District.  For information...
