The College of Letters & Science has honored five staff members with a 2013-14 Classified Staff Excellence Award. The five recipients are:
- Carol Cooley, Department of Zoology
- April Leslie, Department of Chemistry
- Patricia Winspur, Department of Philosophy
- Dawn Duren, Institute for Research on Poverty
- Meenu Verma, Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders
Each year, the college provides five awards to exemplary permanent classified staff in the amount of $3,000.
The award winners are honored for their innovation, creativity and originality, leadership, effectiveness, contribution toward creating a positive workplace climate and service on or off campus. They will be recognized at the Dean's Award Ceremony in spring 2014.
