Election season keeping fact-checking expert busy

The assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication​ has spoken to nearly 10 major media outlets on the importance of checking the facts.

Lucas GravesWith the election coming up Nov. 8, fact-checking has been especially newsworthy. Lucas Graves, an assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and his book Deciding What’s True: The Rise of Political Fact-Checking in American Journalism are helping people understand its importance. 

Media outlets such as PolitiFact, Wired, The Globe and Mail, The Poynter Institute, Vox, NPR, Washington Post and Inside Higher Ed have all reached out to Graves for his insights and comments.
