Facing Fear, which was nominated for an Oscar for best documentary short subject in 2013, traces the story of Boger, the victim of a hate crime attack, and Zaal, a former Neo-Nazi skinhead who participated in the beating. The two met 25 years later and began a journey to forgiveness and friendship.

Cohen will also visit classes in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and the Department of Communication Arts on Nov. 18 and 19, and will participate in a career discussion with aspiring film and arts students. Cohen received the Ralph Nafziger Award for distinguished alumni achievement within 10 years of graduation from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2001.

The screening is sponsored by UW Hillel, Hamsa, the Division of Student Life, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, the LGBT Campus Center, the Department of Communication Arts, Ask Big Questions, the Mosse-Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies, and the L&S Anonymous Fund.
